Rafi and Mecartin, the directors of the super hit movie ‘Punjabi House’, starring Dileep, are mulling a sequel to the movie with the same team. Discussions are still on but there are also unconfirmed reports that Dileep’s camp is not keen on the project.
The director duo believes that since the movie fetches high TRP ratings whenever it is shown on television, there is scope for any number of sequels for the blockbuster entertainer.
“Cochin Haneefa ‘s character had a greater importance in the first part. We are planning to cast another actor for that particular character. And the heroine is also not yet decided. If everything goes well, movie will release in the next year,” Rafi told Manorama Online.
Rafi and Mecartin has already finalised two stories for the sequels and will talk with Dileep about the possibilities. The director duo assures that the movie will also feature quite a lot of witty one liners and good songs as was the case with its original.
